Florida Blue Advantage (Blue Cross Blue Shield)
Florida Blue is a Blue Cross Blue Shield company headquartered in Jacksonville Florida servicing the entire state of Florida.
Florida Blue sells Medigap plans A through N and various Medicare Advantage plans known as HMO and PPO's. If a Medicare recipient chooses an Advantage plan it will take over for traditional Medicare and you will share in the costs along with paying a monthly premium.
Shared costs between the member and the plan could be primary care visits, specialist visits, ER visits, inpatient hospital care, outpatient procedures, chiropractor services, x-ray, MRI, lab services, chemotherapy etc.
Usually co-pays are a flat fee when you visit a doctor as compared to the inpatient hospital copay which could be a copay for as many days you are hospitalized. If you have a medical deductible it usually does not count towards doctor visits but could count towards outpatient procedures, inpatient hospital care etc. A medical deductible is the amount you pay out before your medical coverage begins.
A Florida Blue Advantage plan could include many additional benefits such as the Silver Sneakers Fitness program. The program is a health and fitness program designed to help you live an active and independent lifestyle. It may not be available on all the Florida Blue plans.
A Florida Blue plan could also include an additional Wellness program such as Diabetes Prevention Program, an evidence-based program designed to delay or prevent participants' progression to type 2 diabetes. You pay nothing to participate in these programs.
Various Florida Blue plans also offer preventative dental and vision benefits as an added cost.

BlueMedicare Choice RPPO
The BlueMedicare Choice RPPO is a regional PPO which make it a very it a plan in the entire state of Florida. You can receive medical coverage inside or outside of the network without referrals. This regional PPO offers the statewide network, and you can also get in-network services nationwide with other "Blue" licensed companies.
BlueMedicare Classic Plus HMO
The Blue Medicare Classic Plus HMO allows you the largest access to in-network providers of any of the Florida Blue Advantage plans that they offer.

Hillsboro, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Orange, Osceola,

BlueMedicare Classic HMO
The BlueMedicare Classic HMO have lower copays and out-of-pocket maximums for plan members than most of the other various HMO plans offered.

BlueMedicare Preferred HMO C-SNP
The BlueMedicare Preferred HMO C-SNP offers coordinated medical care for recipients who suffer from either diabetes or heart disease.
Counties: Clay, Duval, Pinnelas, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties.
BlueMedicare Premier HMO
The BlueMedicare Premiere HMO consists of a smaller network plan but also offers its members lower cost-sharing in exchange. This HMO plan does include some dental coverage and may offer some transportation for doctor and Pharmacy visits.
Counties: Clay, Duval and Broward Counties.
BlueMedicare Complete D-SNP
This is a SNP plan is offered to for dual eligibles or those Medicare recipients who also receive Medicaid benefits.
Counties: Broward, Miami-Dade, Orange, and Polk Counties.
